Neeti Nose & Sinus Clinic
Neeti Nose & Sinus Clinic

Neeti Nose and Sinus Clinic is a dedicated unit within the hospital for diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to nose and sinus infections, allergic rhinitis, polyps, bleeding from the nose and tumours of the nose and paranasal sinuses.
We have in house facilities for following diagnostic tests:
- Nasal Endoscopy: This allows a thorough examination of the nasal cavity and sinus openings. It helps to diagnose any deviations in the septal bone, polyps or sinusitis (infections of the sinuses). It always allows identification of nasal tumours and performance of biopsies for confirmation of pathology.
- Allergy Tests: For patients suffering from allergic rhinitis, we offer a dedicated test to detect specific allergens causing these symptoms from a range of potential agents in the environment (air-borne and foodstuffs).
Surgeries Performed:
On an average for the past 30 years, we perform 300 minor procedures and 180 major nose and sinus surgeries per year.
Following is a list of commonly performed surgeries at the hospital:
- Septoplasty/ SMR: Correction of deviations in the nasal septal bone
- FESS (Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery): This is a surgical procedure performed endoscopically (no external wounds/ stitches) for treatment of sinusitis and polyps in the nose and paranasal sinuses.

Specialty Services:
- Skull Base Surgeries: Tumours at the base of the skull can be approached endoscopically through the nasal cavity. This avoids the need for transcranial approach and lessens the risk of infections and cerebral complications.
- CSF leak repair: This is a rare condition when fluid from the brain begins to leak into the nasal cavity due to minor breakages in the skull base bones. It has severe complications including brain infections. This can again be repaired through endoscopic nasal surgery.
- Endoscopic Dacryocystorhinostomy: A common problem, especially in old age is watering of the eyes. This is a result of accumulation of tears secondary to blockage of the tear ducts. The final drainage of this duct is into the nostril. Therefore, endoscopic surgery through the nose can be employed to re-open the passage and treat this condition.
- Septorhinoplasty: Plastic surgery correction of nose shape and structure is done with the joint expertise of plastic surgeon and ENT surgeon.
