Dr. Madan Kapre was Chief
Faculty at Midterm Conference of IAOHNS organized at Guwahati.
Dr. Kapre gave
talks on “Difficult Scenarios in Thyroid Surgery” and “Setting Stage for
Lateral Skull Base Surgery”. Dr Kapre also conducted Panel Discussion on
“Management of Thyroid Cancers”
Dr.
Madan Kapre was the Chief Faculty. He delivered the AOI Oration on “Optimising
Surgery for Ca Thyroid”. Dr. Kapre conducted Panel discussion on “Management of

Dr. Gauri Kapre Was
faculty and joint organising secretary for 17th phonosurgery
workshop at Bombay Hospital from 3-5th Nov 23. Dr Gauri was the
moderator for the panel on “The Professional Voice “
Dr Vidula Kapre delivered an invited talk on “Management of airway and
anesthesia techniques for LASER surgeries” at the state level anesthesia
conference MAHA-ISACON, Pune. Her talk was very well received, especially her
quantum of single anesthetist cases and her original technique of using
aluminium foil and red rubber tube to make a cost-effective LASER-safe
endotracheal tube.
19th October: Dr Madan Kapre was the special invited guest speaker
at the Thursday morning Grand Rounds at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre,
New York, USA. He delivered a talk- “30 years of tribal surgical camp-Who
benefits more- tribals or science?” This is a rare honour bestowed upon
international surgeons of repute to visit and tour the Centre.
Dr. Madan Kapre was the Chairman of the India Forum. Other participants were Dr. Neeti Gupta, Neeti Clinics Nagpur, Dr.Rajendra Toprani and Dr. Kaustubh Patel from Ahmedabad, Dr Archi Agrawal and Dr. Shiva Tyagarajan Tata Memorial Hospital Mumbai, Dr Abhishek Vaidya, NCI Nagpur and Dr. Jyoti Dabholkar Mumbai.
Dr
Neeti presented her research “IMPACCT”. It is a scoring system based on
imaging, clinical and pathological co relation for deciding surgical plan in
thyroid cancers. It was very well appreciated. Dr Abhishek presented his data
on trial of Adjuvant chemotherapy for advanced Ca thyroid. This is a novel
study and drew lot of interest..
Dr Kapre has been specially included in NCCN as a
global reviewer to give perspective about management of thyroid cancer in our
part of the world. Dr. Kapre also had
the honor of being amongst the thyroid surgeons globally to be interviewed for
“Time Capsule’.
World Voice Day was celebrated by NKPSIMS in
association with AOI Vidarbha on 18th April by arranging a CME called “Voice
Matters”. Dr Gauri Kapre Vaidya was an invited speaker for the topic of diagnosis and surgical management of common
voice disorders.
Dr.
Madan Kapre was awarded the prestigious “Professional Excellence Award” by
Academy of Medical Sciences Nagpur. This award is bestowed once a year upon a
medical profession across all specialties who has excelled in his field, who
has made significant academic contribution in his subject and who has done
substantial work for the society.
Dr Madan Kapre, Managing Director Neeti Clinics, is the Current President
of the IAOHNS (Indian Academy of Otolaryngologists and Head and Neck Surgeons).
Dr Kapre delivered the Presidential oration on "Salivary gland
tumours",
Dr Neeti Kapre Gupta, our Consultant Head and Neck Surgeon, delivered a
talk on “IMPACCT Study”, our original research paper on detection of cancer risk in
thyroid nodules.
Dr Sanjog Singh, fellow Head and Neck Onco Surgery, presented a paper on “Trismus
Management in Head and Neck Cancer Patients”.
Dr Gauri Kapre was a panelist on
the panel discussion on “Difficult cases in Laryngology”
Dr Gauri Kapre, Consultant
ENT surgeon and voice specialist at Neeti Clinics, was the Organizing Secretary
for Midterm Phonocon 2023. Dr Gauri had delivered a
talk on "NBI" which is a technology for early detection of cancers of
the throat. She also conducted a panel discussion on "Problems of
Professional voice users"
Dr Madan Kapre delivered the coveted ISTS oration at the joint meeting of Indian Society of Thyroid Surgeons and Asia Pacific Thyroid Society on 24th March 2023 at Kochi. He spoke on the concept of Thyroid Gurukul- His thyroid surgical workshop in tribal areas of Chikhaldara
Dr.Madan Kapre gave welcome address as Organising Chairperson of the Conference. Dr. Nandu Kolwadkar was Guest of Honor. Hon. Union Minister Shri.Nitinji Gadkari was Chief Guest. Shri. Gadkari installed Dr. Madan Kapre as incoming President of IAOHNS. Dr.Neeti conducted the programme.

Doctor’s Day for her selfless and dedicated service towards the Melghat tribal patients.
“Unravelling the Nuances in ENT Surgery“- a two day live surgical workshop was
conducted by Neeti Clinics
On Day 1 surgeries demonstrated were Cochlear Implant Surgery, Stapedectomy, Microlaryngeal
LASER surgery for Subglottic stenosis. Endoscopic Dacrocystorhinostomy, Microlaryngeal LASER
surgery for laryngeal Papillomas, Functional Endoscopic Sinus surgery and Superficial
Parotidectomy.
Surgeries demonstrated on Day 2 were Total Thyroidectomy with Intraoperative Nerve Monitoring
Surgery for Oral Cancer with reconstruction, Sistrunk operation, Endoscopic surgery for
Antrochoanal Polyps, Tympanomastoidectomy and Endoscopic Thyroid Surgery.
Annual National Conference of AOI was held in Nagpur. Dr.MadanKapre was Organizing Chairman of the conference
At 6th Annual Conference of Indian Academy of Otorhinolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery with 11th SAARC ENT Conference in Delhi, Dr.Madan Kapre was awarded “Life Time Achievement Award/Honorary Fellowship” of the Academy.

Annual National Conference of Foundation of Head and Neck Oncologists of India was hosted by Vidarbha Society for Head and Neck Oncology. Dr. Madan Kapre was Organizing Chairperson of the conference. The entire conference was a grand success. There were over 450 delegates from all over India and a team of 16 delegates from Bangladesh. International faculties were Dr. Roberto Puxxedu from Italy, Dr. Cherie Anne Nathan from USA, Dr. Fredrico Biglioli from Italy, Dr. Vin Paleri from UK. All faculty and delegates appreciated this as the best conference they had ever attended.
Dr. Gregory Randolph, Associate Professor at Massacheusettes Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard University, Boston USA is known as the World’s best Thyroid Surgeon. Dr. Gregory Randolph with a team of 6 doctors from Harvard University, Boston participated in the workshop. They operated upon the tribal patients. There was live surgical demonstration and interactive teaching for 45 General surgeon and ENT surgeon delegates from all over India. In all fifteen tribals with large goiters were operated at the workshop. Dr. Randolph was very impressed with the surgical skills, expertise and efficiency of all the doctors and the quality of academic interactions with the delegates.
