DR Madan Kapre Felicitated with Lifetime Achievement Award At AOI National Conference

Association of Otolaryngologists of India (AOL) in its grand conference held at Bengaluru bestowed prestigious Life Time Achievement Award upon interna- tionally acclaimed ENT Surgeon Dr Madan Kapre.

The award was given to Dr Kapre in recognition of his contribution towards ENT and Head and Neck surgery wherein he has conducted surgical workshop throughout the country, delivered prestigious orations at state and national conferences. Through his own annual thyroid surgery workshop conducted at Melghat for the past 20 years. Thyroid surgeries have been performed free of cost for the tribals of Melghat. Junior surgeons have been trained in thyroid surgery. National and international faculties have participated in the work- shop. On academic front Dr Madan Kapre has authored four books of inter- national repute.

Dr Kapre is one of the seven surgeons who are global reviewers for National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines for thy- roid surgery. Dr Kapre has been Chairman of Indian delegation for World Congress on Thyroid Cancer in 2017 in Boston, USA and in 2023 in London, UK.
